Why We Built This Site
Louisiana opens a wide range of court information to the public, and the practical snag is that each record stays with the office that made it. A warrant does not live in one database. The judge or magistrate who signs it sets the charge and the bond; the sheriff's office is the agency that serves it and can say whether it is still outstanding. A bench warrant for a missed date often stays with the justice court or mayor's court that set the case, not with the parish at all. Louisiana has no single public warrant search that pulls those layers together.
That leaves a reader with a familiar problem. You call one office, hear that the record is not there, and start to think you are clear. We put the contacts, the access rules, and the request steps in one place so each call starts from the right office.
What You Will Find Here
- Traffic warrants: the court that set the ticket and how an FTA becomes a state compliance issue
- City court warrants: how the mayor's courts of Columbia, Clarks, and Grayson handle their own ordinance cases
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise and which court holds the file
- Arrest warrants: how arrest warrants are issued and served in the parish
- Outstanding process: how to check for active warrants when no public list exists
- Name checks: how a warrant check runs through the clerk, the sheriff, and the lower courts
- Published lists: what a county most wanted program would look like and how a tip is routed
City-level detail sits on its own pages for Clarks, Grayson, and Columbia, where the town police and the local court come first.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Louisiana court, sheriff's office, or state agency, and the limits that follow are real.
- We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists for any person
- We cannot post bond or take a payment toward a warrant
- We cannot recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot promise that every fee or phone number here is current today
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice about how a warrant applies to you
Only the court that issued a warrant or the sheriff's office that serves it can confirm whether it exists and whether it has been recalled. We can point you to the right office, but the answer comes from them.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site carry a search box that a third-party company operates. Those companies set their own prices and run their own services. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, and that revenue keeps this site free to read. We do not control what a partner charges or what its results contain, and a partner result is not an official warrant check.
